GUNNERS RFC v INFANTRY RFC
The Gunners went in to this, the third of the 5 fixtures in the Corp season, on the back of successive wins against the REME and the Royal Signals. One of only 2 teams to win both of their first 2 games (the RLC were the others) we were well positioned in the Merit League Table, and a third win prior to the Christmas break would be ideal. As such The Gunners went in to the game with some confidence, the Infantry having historically not been one of the stronger sides in recent years. However, from results in the Corp competition so far, it was evident that the Infantry were a far stronger prospect this season, having beaten the Sappers and only losing to the RLC on the last play of their match.
